Shoes are
my thing. Some people love handbags, some designer denim, for others it’s
beauty products. For me, hands downs, shoes take the top spot.
On a trip
to San Francisco last month, I proudly wore my just purchased shiny Steve
Madden gold peep-toe Mary Janes at a hip downtown bar. I don’t remember
much about the night (one too many martinis), but I do clearly remember an
Adrian Grenier look-a-like commenting on my nice shoes. Sure, that put him
in a grey area (metro or gay?), but all I cared about was that someone noticed
my new shoes.
For the average
person, comfort plays an important part in shoe shopping. Making sure you
can walk more than two blocks is always important, but even more so, is the
hotness factor. Hot shoes make an outfit. They also give you that little extra
confidence booster. Heels and height are important, and a must when wearing
a dress or skirt. And what better way to introduce this season's metallics,
patents and brighter colours then starting with your feet. For those who are
scared of teetering over in heels, practice makes perfect. The new season
of America's Next Top Model starts next week, what better time then to practice
your best Gisele. Work it girl!
